Can You Get Banned for Using GB WhatsApp?
An honest look at WhatsApp bans for mod users: why they happen, what types exist and how to reduce your risk. Below we cover the why, the how and the things to watch out for.
Why bans happen
WhatsApp's terms do not allow unofficial clients. Meta runs detection waves from time to time and restricts numbers that use mods.
Types of bans
Temporary bans show a countdown and usually last hours or days. Permanent bans block the number from WhatsApp entirely.
Reducing risk
- Use the latest build.
- Use a secondary number.
- Avoid bulk messaging and spam like behavior.
- Keep local backups so you can switch quickly.
If you get banned
Wait out a temporary ban, then move to official WhatsApp using your local backup. For a permanent ban you can contact WhatsApp support from the official app, but there is no guarantee of reversal.
A quick reminder
Menu names can differ slightly between builds. If you cannot find an option, look in the mod settings under Privacy, Chats or Universal.
